This Privacy Policy describes how WorkSpace Carlsbad LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you inquire about one of our rental properties, communicate with us by text message, email, or phone, or visit this website.
Information we collect
- Information you provide. When you submit an inquiry through a rental listing site (such as Zillow) or contact us directly, we receive the information you provide, which may include your name, phone number, email address, desired move-in date, and the content of your messages.
- Communications. We keep records of text messages, emails, and tour scheduling activity between you and us, including messages handled by our automated leasing assistant.
- Tour and application information. If you schedule a tour or apply for an apartment, we collect information needed to arrange the tour and process your application, which may include verification of your identity through a third-party identity verification service.
- Website data. This website does not use advertising cookies or analytics trackers.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry and answer questions about our properties.
- To schedule, confirm, and remind you of tours.
- To follow up after a tour and, if you choose, to send you an application or lease.
- To verify identity before a self-guided tour, for the safety of our residents and properties.
- To maintain records required by law, including fair housing recordkeeping.
Text messaging
If you provide your phone number when inquiring about a property, we may send you text messages related to your inquiry, including tour scheduling, reminders, and follow-ups. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of information described above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate our leasing process:
- Service providers that help us deliver messages, host our systems, schedule tours, and verify identity, acting on our behalf and under confidentiality obligations.
- Rental listing platforms you used to contact us, as part of the normal operation of those platforms.
- Legal requirements, when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our residents, staff, or others.
We do not sell your personal information.
Identity verification
If you choose a self-guided tour, we may ask you to verify your identity through a third-party identity verification service. That service processes your identification document and, where applicable, a selfie, under its own privacy policy. We receive only the result of the verification and do not store images of your identification document.
Data retention
We retain inquiry and communication records for as long as needed to operate our leasing process and to meet legal and recordkeeping obligations, and then delete or anonymize them.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving texts.
- Contact us to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to request deletion, subject to our legal obligations.
Children
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
